What we do
As a Bible-based, interdenominational Christian organisation, CRU aims to help the kids and youth of Australia to know and follow Jesus, encourage church membership, nurture Christians and train young Christians for a life of servant leadership.
CRU Holiday Camps that are run for school students from years K-12 during the school holidays are attended by thousands of children each year. We run activity camps, study camps, day camps and Christian leadership camps - there is something for everyone. Our leaders are trained in child protection procedures and screened in accordance with government child protection legislation, and their love for God makes them excellent role models for your children.
CRUβs Educational Camps division (previously known as Summit) has been partnering with schools in NSW and ACT to run excellent outdoor education camps during school term times that meet curriculum outcomes. Our experienced outdoor education staff will work with schools to create a tailored program and will run all aspects of the camp, from breakfast through to lights out.
Through our Schools Ministry team, CRU also supports teachers, chaplains and students in independent schools by encouraging and supporting lunctime CRU groups, writing excellent resources, providing training for Christian leadership and giving Bible talks at chapel.
CRU also runs trainee programs, the largest being the Summit Program, a paid ministry and training program for young Christians who are looking for a different type of gap year. Primarily based in Galston, NSW, this program provides participants with formal qualifications as well as giving them hands-on experience leading and directing CRU Holiday Camps.
In addition to CRU Galston Gorge, CRU also operates CRU Lake Mac Camp & Conference Centre. Both campsites are well-equipped to host your next school camp, community group retreat, band camp or church getaway.
